KLG Engineer - Night Shift

THE ROLE:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineer / Maintenance Fitter to assist with our sawmill and processing operations. The key purpose of this role:
- Plan and carry out preventative maintenance
- Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance in the sawmill and processing work centres
The role has a direct impact on our production levels and quality and therefore plays an important part in the overall success of the sawmill.
The nights worked are Monday to Thursday both days inclusive and Saturdays. Working 50 hours per week - night shift hours are 10 per night.
An indicative pay range for this role is $32.00 to $40.00 depending on your skills and experience.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Ideally you will have:
- At least 2 - 5 years’ experience working in a mechanical fitting or mechanical maintenance role
- Production experience or heavy industrial experience is highly preferred
- Excellent hands-on fault finding skills
- An applicable trade certificate qualification and experience in wood industry environment with machinery would be advantageous.
You’ll need to be physically fit, self-motivated, able to follow procedures, work autonomously and reliable.
You will also have a strong focus on ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times. Sound comprehension skills will also be required.
