KLG Sawmill Operator

THE ROLE:

We are currently recruiting for a Sawmill Operator to assist with our operations in Gisborne.  Key duties include:

• Operating sawmill machinery/control panels and equipment
• Completing relevant documentation/systems
• Undertaking product grading/quality related tasks
• Assisting the team with other duties as required

The hours of work per week will be 46 worked between 5:30am to 5:30pm on four days of the week between Monday to Friday both days inclusive.  An indicative pay range for this role is $25.00 - $29.00 depending on your skills and experience.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

Ideally you will have:

• Minimum two years' experience as a Sawmill Operator / Wood Machinist
• Experience undertaking manual/physical duties
• Sound written, numeracy and computer skills

You’ll also have a positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to undertake work in a safe and efficient way to ensure our health and safety, quality standards and production requirements are met.
